Vw 5 Day Drive Away Complimentary Insurance

Please be advised that currently and as a result of a change in Brokers (Ageas to Direct Line I believe) that the above is not available to those collecting a 6 Seat Kombi. Some nonsense regarding perceived Taxi use!

My dealer, SMG Cowfold, was unaware and went into bat on my behalf but got a firm no. Currently being escalated up the chain but I shan't hold my breath. Therefore about to make the normal longer term arrangements earlier than anticipated.

Another example of reality not meeting the most basic of expectations...

Tbh I have just registered my free drive away insurance and the whole thing was a lot of hassle. Considering it’s VW they didn’t even have my spec van on the system. I had to explain what a Kombi is lol. Sounds I guess typical VW

Unsurprisingly I never heard anything back so I can't confidently advise. They were getting bent out of shape due to 6 seats not 5 so hopefully you'll be OK.
