I am currently in the process of buying a used (2015) Transporter. The dealer is asking if I want this fitted -
VPS (vehicle protection system)

Has anyone had this and is it worth the money? Or is there a better alternative - like ceramic coating?

Cheers

Thanks, its the dealer paint and interior (seats) protection treatment. Thats all I know
So it’ll be shite then, cost a fortune and be completely ineffective, and there will never be any proof that they have actually applied the so called “treatment”. An utter con. You’d be better off saving the dosh and taking it for a proper ceramic treatment.

Thanks, I need to start looking for a ceramic coat place around Manchester area then.

Agreed, after my recent experience on my other car I will never pay for such treatments again. Got the money back and put it towards ceramic.

I've never seen ceramic (that I know about) and have no idea what it is (apart from paint protection) or how it works.

Thanks, I had a quick look at the website. Can't see any prices, do I need to make sure Im seated first?

Not at home so can’t confirm but think my van is going to cost £599 - includes wash, machine polish, clay bar, etc. and application of ceramic.

If it comes out half as good as my car I will be very happy - I actually (almost!) enjoy washing it now as it comes up looking fantastic with relatively little effort.
