Just wondering if anyone has played with this at all / it is worth getting one or a waste of time. more interested to see how to read faults ect and assume this does not do that. But might have some other interesting features such as tracking fuel consumption, although the reviews on the app store are quite scathing.

Got mine off ebay for a few quid, records every trip, with times, speed and mileage, fuel level, battery voltage, countdowns for oil and service inspections.
Driving style is recorded along with fuel costs, some gimmicky goals to play around with.
Tots up some interesting statistics.
Not essential but interesting if you like playing around with apps.
Would like to add: Don't fit one if you use your van for criminal activities, dogging or liaisons!

Got given one once by my dealer. Excuse my cynicism, but reckon it's just a way VW can harvest information on how it's vehicles are driven and perform. Amongst other data they can probably sell on to third parties. Test pilots on the cheap. Of course, could be wrong.
