Viper Flashing Alarm Deterrent - how’s it wired?

My van came with a blue flashing Viper front window sticker that flashes when the vehicle is locked. I think it’s based on that chemical that lights up when a current is passed through it (like the numbers on Le Mans 24hr cars). My issue is that as it flashes it’s making a faint beeping/pulsing sound. I’m camping at Brands Hatch next week whilst racing and it’s going to drive me crazy!! Anyone know how and where this would be wired up? Wire goes into the passenger side A pillar i think. What’s it going to be connected too, to allow it to activate on lock (small chance it’s activated on ignition off but not certain, but remember also hearing the sound whilst sitting in the van with engine off)? I’d like to find the source and add in a simple dash switch so I can deactivate it for camping.

any ideas appreciated

have you got one of there alarms fitted?

maybe a Viper CAN BUS alarm?

the only way to tell for sure is to trace the wire to where it goes.

mist likely, a pillar, behind glove box to SC fusebox area.?

I’m not aware of any alarm. There’s no extra wiring at the fuse box under the centre dash where I wired by B2B ignition wire too. I also didn’t see any wiring when I had the lower dash off. Where should I be looking?

when exactly is it illuminating?

or is it on 24/7?

I’ll check tomorrow morning and update....definitely not 24/7 though. Either ignition off (probably) or on locking.

Does it still flash if you lock the van from inside using the button on the drivers door, as this shouldnt set the alarm.

I’ve just checked and can confirm it activates when the ignition is turned off. Doesn’t matter if key is left in or taken out....starts flashing and making the pulsing noise when the key is turned to turn the engine off.
