After playing around with the bluetooth and the app when my Victron 12/7 arrived, I must admit I did hover over the buy button for one of these.
Did you pay RRP for this, or did you grab a deal somewhere?
I take it Victron don’t make a DC-DC charger?
There is one in the pipeline. Watch this space!Yeah, victron really need to pull their finger out and make a proper dc-dc charger with a decent capacity solar input. Seems like an obvious hole in their product range.

It will be Bluetooth for sure and I am hoping that it will have a high input for panels too. They are taking their time so they better get it right.Ooh, any inside information? I assume it will have the bluetooth goodies but will it cope with large >32v solar input?
The Ablemail does 24 to 12 at 30+ amps.Definately need this & a 24v/12v dc to dc

I beg to differ, the Ablemail AMS takes 32 volts and has a higher output than the Ring. It is also supremely reliable.
Or it would if it worked!By >32v, I meant greater than 32v. As far as I know, only the Ring unit can do this as it can cope with 50v solar input.
Nice
