Veedubs LED T6.1 replacement rear lights

I bought some VeeDubs rear LED lights with dynamic indicators for my T6.1. It has factory fitted LEDs already (which don’t have dynamic indicators I don’t think) but I smashed one and it was cheaper to buy a new set than just one VW replacement. I have looked on the forum and they look simple to change over but can anyone tell me what these bits in the photo are for and do I need them if I’m doing a straight swap from factory LEDs
Thanks

I know this post is a bit old now but I've just got these today and was asking the same question. Did you need the resistors?

Hi..no. It was a straight swap. I think the Veedub wires were a bit tricky to get in place first time but as far as I can remember it was a really simple swap job

Cheers mate, I was a bit confused when I got the extra bits with them.

I tried to find out for myself but in the end I just swapped them over and it was fine because the van was already set up from factory for LEDs. I have a feeling the resistors were there for someone putting in LEDs for the first time but I might be wrong. If you’re just swapping factory LEDs for these new ones even with dynamic indicators, I didn’t need them
