VCDS rear speakers

Hi all

I've had some rear speakers added and would like to have the fader (among other mods) put on to the head unit.
My local garage has a Ross-tech HEX=CAN usb
This can see the van but says 'Unsupported vehicle upgrade interface'
Is there anyway to get this to work

The newer VCDS Hex-can-v2 or Hex-net device will do it I believe for some newer MY19 Van's.

(Not tested this myself yet)
