That's true, if you order from Aug onwards (even July?) you'll get the 6.1, you'll really need to want one in a hurry if you order May/June
You would be mad to order a T6 now the new model has been announced. Unless you are getting 30 percent fleet discount...
I am looking to buy a t6 Kombi at the moment - just nailing down price and options. All the dealers i have spoken to - from Cardiff to Yorkshire and London have said that they have no idea when the 6.1 will come out possible not till the end of the year and possibly not till some time next year. Does anyone have any concrete information on this??? thanks.

They're not going to tell you cos they need to sell vans now. VW always change over to a new model during the summer shutdown and they're sure as hell not going to wait til summer 2020. I'll bet you anything they start hitting the streets by Sept/Oct, though whether RHD versions will reach here then is another thing.
Hmmm, the question is is it worth the wait? my spec is here an has pretty much what i want... not so bothered by the colour drivers screen... Cost Of A New T6 Kombi...

That's a decision only you can make. Have a look at all the info about the 6.1 and see if it's something worth waiting for or not.
Just found this that says Autumn, New Volkswagen Transporter van range to launch in Autumn.
Hmmm, wonder what the cost point will be compared to now...
