Van beep on opening!!

Silly question here, but why does my T6.1 beep every now and again on opening. ? It’s not a loud beep, and doesn’t happen all the time. It’s got me baffled

Could be letting you know the alarms has activated while it was locked ?

It’s not like a normal beep on a car when locking , and doesn’t happen all the time.

Yes as @Pauly has said it's letting you know the alarm has gone off whilst the van has been locked

Yes. I don't think you're understanding what we're trying to say. You've locked the van. Gone away from it and whilst your away the van alarm has gone off for whatever reason. You come back to the van and unlock it and it beeps at you to say "Hey whilst you where away just to let you know the alarm has gone off"

I understand what your Saying, But the alarm hasn’t gone off. It’s right outside my front door overnight.
Never mind, just wondered if anyone knew why it happens.

I think I've heard similar on my T6.1 - its a very faint sound, like a relay. No idea which one!

Yes that’s the one, doesn’t happen all the time though?

Long shot here- have you got any thing connected to the usb plugs?? They power up when you open the doors on my 6.1.

I'm now getting the same thing on a 2021 T6.1 - did not happen when I first got the vehicle, only noticed it the last few days. Vehicle has been on my drive, alarm has not gone off. Nothing plugged into 12V when unattended.

Did anyone ever resolve the what and they why?
