Useful tip for handbrake lowering kits

So I finally got round to fitting the handbrake lowering kit I purchased from Exeude via eBay. Search for item number 186945721667 on eBay. Its really good quality and made of 4mm thick steel. Significantly better than the Sportscraft bracket. You also get a lower height handbrake cover panel with it and it uses your existing handbrake lever cover.

I figured out a good method to get the handbrake adjustment working better thus avoiding the need to get under the van and adjust the handbrake cable. I drilled out the existing 4mm hole in an imperial size 1/4" socket with a 6mm hardened steel drill bit using oil to cool the drill bit on high speed. This works perfectly to go over the threaded end of the adjustment stud. It's hardened tool steel so it will be perfectly fine to handle the compression force from the cable pull.
