Upgrading a Kombi to Beach

Hi new here!

I'm looking into getting a t32 t6 kombi and then looking at options in getting it to a near spec as poss to a Cali beach. So, adding rear rails, sliding 3 seat bench/bed, extra rear windows, pull down window blinds (is this even possible?), pop roof, slidepod kitchen and other bits!

Has anyone here done this and can recommend any companies? I'm going down this route as the beach is out of my budget, I want to get a pre April registered van, can get a good discount through work and can put the van through the business (can't with a beach).

Sounds like you know what you want, you havent entered a location to tell us where you are but colin @VWVC is based in Oxfordshire so quite central and has recently completed this for a fellow member who was really pleased with the work, depending where you are in the UK there are other companies out there some good some bad so its always good to check with others that have used them.

Hi steve where do i start its alot of work if doing it yourself
Depends on what kind of roof you want ?i went hilo but sca spose to be the best but both around same price fitted £5k
Slidepods fit sca and the caravelle rails and floor and you would need a multipod to go with the triple seat.
I had my rails fitted with colin t5 oxford vwvc carnt recomend him enough good price and great service.
Will supply you a brand new cloth triple seat for £1450 rail fitting £350 +£90 for extra brackets gives you a fitting certificate, if you go twin slider he can supply you with a caravelle floor aswell.
Set of double rails with new covers aprox £1000
There are firms that will do the lot for you but it will cost.
I think i still have the quotes of a certain company i could send you for a idea what it will cost but on holiday at the moment.
To do the lot you wont get much change out of £15k :eek:
 
Thanks Andy, yeah it adds up! When I spec'd up a new Beach it was coming in at about £52k! If I can get the Kombi and the conversion for about £40k that would be good.

Im not sure what a 150 costs as i went 180 dsg 4motion swb so you should be somewhere near budget give a couple of grand, cost can go out the window.
Vanshades a defo very well made and look very nice and a good price
Rear privacy glass order from tps £300 for the 2
Any other info you need just ask m8

I do love my led,s overpriced option but I would of regret it if I hadnt picked them, there are lots of options I would of liked but you can get carried away till you see the bill
