Hi,
Annoyingly caught my tyre on the kerb where I live yesterday - have only been living on the street 13 years or so, although in my defence it has annoying width reduction bollards.
Alloy is damaged - but was already slightly kerbed so lessens the pain a little. Tyre took brunt of impact - it's taken a chunk out of the tyre sidewall - I think the photos make it look worse than it is but still not good no matter. Thickness of the chunk is the width of a pound coin.
I think it's an obvious answer, and probably for peace of mind - but just double checking this replacement is required. One website say's sidewall damage is MOT failure, but I think that's specifically if cords are showing. Given weight of the van etc I've provisionally booked it in for replacement.
Thanks
