Turbo boost sensor

Hi .
Removed boost sensor to replace as have had problems with spluttering around 2k revs and carista flagged up as this as a possible problem.
When removed found sensor and internal area to be covered in a black paste. Cleaned as much as I could and refitted new sensor all seems OK now. Is it normal for this sludge to gather or could there be another problem.
Van is a 2017 t6 highline 150bhp with 95000 miles.
Cheers

Crankcase fumes are fed back into the intake and builds up here and in the charge cooler.
I keep thinking about a catch tank to condense this out as it also contributes to soot buildup in the egr cooler.

Thanks for reply Loz.
Should this be a regular maintenance thing or maybe because of 90k+ miles van has done? Bit of a ball ache getting in to remove sensor!
