TSI Remaps over 250bhp

I know there's plenty of threads here already about remapping but I still haven't found the info I'm looking for. I've got a T6 TSI, both revo and pendle offer a 300ish bhp map but nobody else does, why? Every other remap company offers only 250bhp. I asked the tuning company I've used in the past (Avon Tuning Rep) and was told that the so called 300bhp maps rarely are actually 300bhp and are less reliable and less drivable than the 250bhp they offer.
Thoughts........

Avon Tuning are talking rubbish, I'm 40k into a 300+hp Pendle custom map on a rolling road that took half a day with all the data, camper conversion and soon onto my 4th European trip with the occasional towing of 1600kg, 34mpg on a 100 mile Yorkshire Dales B road trip to climb some hills just today and I think I know what I'm talking about, totally driveable, just accept you'll need a new stock clutch every 4 years, daughter is on the insurance on Mays Netherlands/Germany/France tour, if it was some some high strung turbo she wouldn't be..........they are just flashing the ECU at 250 not actually tuning the specific engine in your van, just go get it done properly.

Thanks for your reply Carbon. I'm in complete agreement of a RR custom remap. However, where I am, Plymouth, the only remap services, including Revo are out of the box generic maps. With that in mind is a generic Revo map any better than everyone else's? Still cannot understand why all the other remap specialists only offer 250BHP though

Speak to Pendle, they may have a reseller closer to you with a rolling road to do the work, mind you, a visit up to Barnoldswick would be my choice if you're looking for some peace of mind.

There's a Pendle agent not too far away, but which is best? Revo, on my doorstep but no RR or Pendle, 1 hourish away but have a RR? Wonder if Pendle agent would even use it or just upload a pendle file? Looked into Barnoldswick, mate you're nearly 6 hours away!!
Thanks for your reply though Grim

Good morning Fella’s, Did you go for Pendle or Revo map in the end? - Was the RR really worth the trip??
I’ve just acquired a 16 plate T6 which has been camper converted and trying to decide between the three tuning companies close to me in Cornwall : Celtic in Newquay, Avon Tuning in Gunnislake or Revo in Plymouth.
Just want to lift the BHP to about 140 and try to limit the wear n tear on the engine and G/box as it’s got 93k on the clock and has a 5 speed box. Your thoughts and suggestions very welcome. Regards Del

I ended up going to my local garage where I've previously had my cars mapped with Avon Tuning maps.

You’ve got nothing to loose with Revo as it has a 30 day money back guarantee if you don’t want it.
