Has anyone fitted this kit and adapted it to BCM cornering control.

I have ‘cornering control’ as standard, it seems like a an elaborate term for switching a single fog light on when cornering. I’ve got Transporter HQ LED fog lamp bulbs fitted which are probably the same if not similar to Travelinlites???
The fog lights are definitely ‘white’ but I’m fairly sure the beam is less effective than the standard bulbs, in my opinion certainly no real aid in cornering in the dark.
I fitted them at the same time as THQ V2 head lights, if I still had standard H4’s the ‘cornering’ function might make a slight difference.

It was more of a nice to do if I need the bumper off again to do the fogs .. perhaps do it to the VW spec.. only a gimmick to me as I have it on the BMW and doesn't float my boat too much other than the extra light on the deck is good when slowly turning in somewhere in the dark

I have OE looms for doing this factory style if you need one

Cheers Pauly .. I'll get the kit first and have a look at the installation details .. don't like going to BCM land too often .. not enjoyed myself there in the past 2 goes to get the MFSW wiring right . a real pain to get to to and try and do a reasonable install

Foglights have three connections to the BCM, a fedd and two outputs going to the lights
Its only clicking connectors into empty terminals but still a git to do

Hi I have fitted these to my t5 very good and simple fit only advice is to make sure you have enough slack cable near the bulb and make sure the bulb fitting is in flat against the fog light back and the cables pointing down As you replace the fog light switch all your actually doing is giving an extra 12volt output to a relay to feed the lights when in fog position so has no connection to the oe van wiring . I just wanted the look of the fog lights So didn’t look into the cornering function but I’m sure it could be done but you’d have to block the fog light on 12v going back to the control module along the wires used for cornering

I found that LED fog light bulbs were next to useless for putting light on the road.

I fitted them so they would colour match the HIDs in my THQ headlights, however I'm not really a fan of cornering foglights, so I've turned the function off and gone back to halogens, knowing that on the very rare occasion that front fog lights are necessary, they will light up a little bit of road.

Sorry T6 not t5. And as pauly says if you wired them direct to the bcm you could use them as cornering but not sure how they’d work a fog lights as the switched output on the switch doesn’t go to the bcm unless there a position for that input on the bcm

Thanks guys .i'll probably just go for fog light install ..like the look of the additional lights at the bottom of the bumper and as long as they operate .. keep ot simple..
I do have AUTO light switch with dash top photocell existing .. may have do a bit of adapting to the kit supplied loom /connector

Replacement switch from Ebay .. works fine ... I am expecting the new wieing loom to perhaps connect to the existing connecter with additional fog light wiring 'Tied in'

Cool but the traveling light switch won’t have auto setting on it and it plugs into oe wiring loom for normal lights etc fine but then has a fly lead coming out of it to attach to the fog light relay for switching on when fog light selected if that makes sense lol

Sorry to jump in guys but I changed the fog light bulbs for the Travelinlite LED kit and now no longer have the cornering function. Do I need to do something to get this back ?
