From what I've seen of the v3 there's not enough difference between them and the v2 to bother swapping them. Disappointing. I was really hoping for a proper led set with switchback drl, as seen across the VW range.

Barley53, thanks for update - are there any youtube or other links out there showing the v3's - I was really hoping for something special - there is certainly a need for them!

Thanks mate - very useful, I have just fitted Philips Ultinon LED's to my V2's and they work very well

Just had an email from THQ saying V3's won't be released till later this year! keep any eye out and I will be in touch if you are still interested
I’ve just called THQ and been told they are delayed but only stuck on the ship and will be available in 4 weeks. Anyway, I’m on the list now so I’ll see if I get an email too.

I hope this is correct as I’m waiting to get these to revamp the whole front end!

I NEED to replace my shitty lamps. Sorry if this has been talked about many times ;o)

It seems Transport HQ V2 with sequential are popular as they are out of stock, however I'm not fussed about sequential indicators. Anybody know how the V1 dipped and main beams compare to the V2?

Also is there anything else you wonderful lot want to recommend?

Cheers

It’s a really good round up of their lineup. Would probably be good to hear some feedback from someone who has actually run them though but sorry can’t help there (I’m waiting for the v3s:thumbsup:)

I've just emailed CHris and asked to be put on the waiting list for the V3's. Take my money. And the LED upgraded bulbs ;o)
Thanks guys.

all 3 variants have the same headlight main beam parts of the cluster...only the indicators and DRLs differ....and yes a massive difference to stock H4s

I just bought a set of THQ v1, DRL headlights, and a set of the 35w, 4300k HID,s that were linked earlier in this thread.

The wiring on the lights is a little chaotic for me, so I tidied it up with some spiral wrap and cloth loom tape.

I then mounted the ballast and resistor pack to the light housing with 3M VHB tape.

Fitted them to the van and went out for a drive.

The difference is AMAZING.

The 4300k is perfect, and the light is very uniform and the cut off is very sharp.

I've got no bulb warning lights, flicker or non functioning bulbs.

I marked the beam hight/cut off of the old lights on my garage door before removal, and simply adjusted the new lights a small amount to match.

There are 2no 8mm bolts for each lens to adjust left/right and up/down.

I'm glad I took a picture before fitting to remind me.

For orientation, this is the drivers side light taken from the back of it. (so the light is facing forward).

Big thanks to all that have contributed to this thread, in particular, dubber63 and Mikem.

Just need to find someone with VCDS to help me code now.

A massive improvement over the halogens with no warnings on the dashboard. Well worth doing mate. Take a minute to warm up buts thats the only negative i can say.

Thank you , way to go then...... Stealth 55w hid's for the dipped H7 's and those Classic LED's for the H1 mains.

Managed to get to a local multistorey car park to check and adjust the new lights.

I adjusted the headlight aim to 1.2% inclination which basically drops the beam 120mm over a 10m distance.

I'm really pleased with the light output and the night time driving experience now.
