As per title, usual touchscreen shenanigans, need someone near-ish to me for the fix.

Google is not my friend.

Over to the hive mind.
 
I took the plunge and repaired mine - bought a replacement screen on ebay and then followed videos on youtube.

£30 and it works a treat. You do need very small torx drivers (TX6 and TX8) which nearly scuppered me.

Did the same. Plenty of yourube videos that show step by step process. Honestly not that hard to do.
 
Just received the replacement digitiser from Amazon,£20. Waiting for my set of Wera Torx drivers to arrive, (yes dear, in order to save us a fortune on a replacement head unit, I need to buy these shiny smart Wera tools, it’ll be worth it.) so the fun can commence.
 
Thanks all, DIY-ing it is a mildly terrifying prospect, given my natural lack of aptitude, but if I get to score some more Wera goodness it could be a thing!
