Hi everyone you might have seen I bought a Travelin Lite RS rear bumper and a GTT front bumper last Black Friday I have been waiting for some reasonable weather to fit it . Well yesterday I started the job but it started raining after lunch so decided to stop mid afternoon once my overalls go saturated. Started again today nice sunny day and a balmy 8degs, bumper fitted quite well but had to re route the exhaust to fit the cut outs in the bumper. Job was going well until I ran out of gas for the mig welder so had to re assemble the exhaust and get some more argonlite to finish the job. The hardest part was re routing the exhaust to accommodate my original twin tips but got there eventually.IMG_2303.webpIMG_2304.webpIMG_2306.webpIMG_2307.webpIMG_2305.webp

What’s the fitment like

Hi I found like most aftermarket parts it's not perfect eg the fit around the panels under the rear lights is not great and along the joint towards the rear wheel so had to use a little bit of Tiger seal which hardly notices . Hope that helps it could be that I just had a bad moulding .

Thanks I’ve seen that it does say it will leave a gap on tail gates, I’ve seen this on on eBay, and it says only tailgates

Come to fit mine and the insert part isn't a great fit lengthwise to the main bumper. Tis a little short. I'm also having to grind away some excess plastic to get the end clips to engage. This sort of stuff is just irritating when you've paid money to a body shop to spray the thing. Messing around like this risks scratching the paint. No instructions either, so while I think I know which clips to use and where to use screws, would have been nice to at least have confirmation of this.

I got some replacement side indicator lenses in the box as well? Free gift?

Hi mate I had a few issues when I fitted mine last year so had to do a bit of fettaling also it was failed on last mot because the bumper reflectors did not reflect enough. In fairness I reported this toTravelin lite and they sent me replacements free of charge . Once the bumper is fitted unless you want to remove it again to replace the reflectors i just drilled them out and refitted the new ones with Tiger seal .

Thanks. I'm kinda getting there. The plastic clips they've supplied are rubbish. I'm going to just use the plug section and instead screw in a 5mm screw into the plug to spread it out. Already done one that way. Even hammering didn't get the plastic pin to go in. I guess the hole is just a bit too tight after spray painting.

Hopefully it will all look okay. I'm fed up with bumpers now. Broke the stock one on the day of picking up the van in a narrow lane. Got an after market one painted and shipped but it never fitted well, so I'm miffed that this one is also all over the place despite costing more than double the price all in (after painting). The two halves just aren't a good match in size in mine.

Yeah it is annoying but I always expect to do a bit of fettling with non genuine parts but if it's not already fitted I would suggest not to use screws on the reflectors but use adhesive like Tigerseal or similar incase you need to replace them . Anyway good luck with it mate .

Decided to fit OEM reflectors, that's if they'll fit okay.
