Cam Belt gone at 80,000 Km / 49,700 miles

Hi,

Bad story begin...

Just coming back from Denmark and daily clock was 1700 km and my lovely T6 multivan die!

500 km away from home Me my wife and 2 children was driven back by Assistance to my house.

It is timing belt problem and I will keep you updated when I have more info what is broken and how VW will react.

I do hope they will change the engine if there is a big mess under the cover.

It's probably safe to say the trailer weighs more than the tow vehicle in that setup.
Sorry to hear about you engine but fingers crossed you get the new engine you're after.

Yes, the the timing belt was torn and the engine need quite big repair.

I was waiting until now to be repaired but it was not pice of cake.

Just finalise the deal with the dealer to sale and bye new with a very good financial condition for me. The same car with same engine but DSG. Now I really hope that my bad luck is over.

VW project cost me so much money and efforts. Sorry to say this but I am in love with the T6 but feeling that she and her family do not like me!

On Friday I will receive my new T6 DSG and will see.
