Hi everybody,

I wonder, if it easy to unscrew this joint? I would like to mount a bracket there to fasten the bed.

Which tool do I need?
it seems it is an unusual star (it is a standard VW)

This is a set you need, comes in very handy on all VW as all seatbelts, door striker bolts etc will be M10-M12

Torx bit. Not sure of the size but you can get a set of keys for less than a tenner from screwfix

Lexivon heads are great. Used my splines yesterday to remove all my lashing points and bolts ready for CNC timber floor battens to be glued down and then floor insulation.

Thanks guys!

Can I simply unscrew them and then screw back? Or I need to handle anything from the bottom side of the car?

Also in an ‘emergency’ , an allen key will fit, as this is 6 pointed, but I wouldnt recommend tightening to a high torque.

Worth getting a set if you are going to be doing any work on a VW/Audi, as they are very common on these cars.

The splines are used on the seats (needed if you take apart the twin seat to fit a shorter base) and on the balljoints, which I've found are easier to disconnect from the wheel hub to change shocks/springs than releasing the balljoint from the arm (plus you should use a new nylock nut each time).
