The Engine In Your Van Is The Best Thing You've Ever Bought...

Great Pic - 200K here we come.

You're lucky owning a PD150 that didn't hole it's lifters and eat the camshaft lobes!

That said, they're a great engine when they don't do that!

She is indeed a 2004. I drove her off the forecourt after a French lorry took my 2002 out on the M25.

Totally Jean Louis. I think it was classified Euro2 but I may be wrong.
However, the DNA behind that engine resides in modern VW engines as it has proved itself. Let's not get into the software though eh!
That car puts a smile on my face every time i press the right pedal.

Ha ha sorry @ChesterD it's a little more basic than that too. Apparently most engines now need to be driven hard occasionally but when I got my first Golf in 2002 I was doing steady motorway miles up to see my dad Inn hospital every weekend and the turbo packed in because it wasn't being used enough. Just spun up and left, so, VW advised me to kick it now and then. So I have, and the grin gives me a flip-flop head! :D

Nice! Keep the oil fresh and they will go forever. I had a Mk4 V5 and it did 180k. Still going strong when I sold it.
