Hi all,

Transporter and VW newbie here from the Grimsby area. Just bought a 17 plate shuttle to haul my tribe around (5 kids and 2 dogs) coming from an X5 it's certainly a bit different .

Previous owner did a lot of the upgrades I'd have been looking at anyway, lights, repeaters, side bars etc. First thing is to de-chrome the rear end and change to black instead.

Todays venture, remove all the chrome from the rear and replace with gloss black. Replace rear text with black versions. What a tw@t the old foam adhesive strips were to remove . Still got a front splitter to fit but feel that’s a 2 man job for another day88824BF0-E04B-4B19-9BEC-A244ED2AB668.jpeg8F07587B-AC52-4329-8956-135FECD00D30.jpeg

Front splitter can be done on your own with the van on the ground. I used a clamp at either end and a block of wood to support the centre. That way you can make small adjustments until it’s perfectly centred.
I then just drilled two of the holes and fixed it enabling a final check before drilling/fixing the rest.

A ramdom bloke wandered up to my able assistant earlier, whilst he was looking at a couple of two-tone T6's queuing in traffic & said "I bet you wish your van was two-tone."...

Gorgeous combo of colours there!
