T6 Vibration

Hi I have T6 edition 150 DSG four months old with 3K miles which has a vibration issue through the steering wheel and throttle pedal apparently according to VW this is common and a characteristic of the vehicle? Has anyone else have this issue? Is it common?

No?

Tracking or wheel balancing may need looking at.

Maybe start by swapping the front and rear wheels, ie front to back.

Any more details? All revs? What speed? Can you drive through it? Under braking?

It vibrates whilst stationary especially more at 1500 revs. I can’t believe it is a characteristic of the vehicle how can so many owners live with it? If I known it is common I would of bought a Renault Trafic half the price and no vibration issues. Not sure what to do as VW NOT INTERESTED.

16 plate 150 dsg 100k plus on clock and just tested mine and no vibration in park at 1500 or neutral at 1500 plus so a common issue as say it is not

I'm sure there was a post on here somewhere about a vibrating noise or rattle when at certain revs and the problem was a brake line connection above fire wall was broken Al take a pic of the location a think was at fault and mibi have a look , excuse the dirty engine bay lol

Get them to demonstrate the vibration in an identical van at the dealership. When they can’t, get them to fix yours.

Wot e sed! Sounds to me that they are trying to get out of fixing a warranty issue - don't let them get away with it.

Have you looked under the bonnet to see if you can ascertain where the vibration might be coming from ?

Pete

Hi Pete The van is four months old it went back to VW for diagnosis but they found no faults they also said that three technicians took the van out plus service manager all said it’s a characteristic of the vehicle. I personally have not looked under the bonnet as wouldn’t know what to look for unless it was something obvious that I would notice.

FWIW, mine's a 13 month old 150, SWB and just under 6K miles (but a manual) with no such vibration. I repeat my original suspicion that the dealer is extracting the urine. Follow Dangers advice and then name and shame them if it goes on (and tell them that you will be doing it!)

I have a 18 plate 150 but it's a manual. I have not noticed anything on mine imwith regards to vibration. Have you considered taking it to another VW van centre.

I have exactly the same van as yourself and definitely don’t have the issue you describe so it has to be a fault somewhere.

I have noticed mine has a vibration, almost like a misfire, around 1500rpm, it did it yesterday while I was warming the oil up for a change, standing still, handbrake on, in neutral, not enough to make anything visible, but whilst sitting in the driver's seat, it definitely shakes.
