I didn't go for it as I wanted single front seats not bench and the brakes wont fit over 16" wheels plus seemed very expensive overall

the edition 30 also seems it will be registered/classed not as commercial so vat back was issue and other items that's info I got

You can spec the Single Front Seats on ordering. I’m intrigued why you would want to fit 16” Wheels over the brakes.

You can Spec a Highline up really nice for that that money, taking it over the £40,000 I think was an error on VW part.

The general consensus I think, there's just no value in the official Sportline, many people (me included) went for a Highline and then got a specialist to add the main Sportline differences, IE wheels/suspension/spoilers/leather.

My official Sportline spec would have been £49k inc vat, or what I actually ordered was a Highline with a Wessex Vans conversion at £52k and there's just no comparison, the conversion will be better in every possible way except maybe residuals.

Not too mention a 6 month wait for a Sportline.

All this is moot if you're leasing though, I've brought mine to grow old together with :inlove:

I use my van for testing tyres I need 16" wheels to fit over the brakes so I'm limited to to 150PS T30

Thanks RayC but still pretty poor brochure.
My highlife spec comes to £49,000 but I'd still like to compare it to a Sportline.
My dealer has told me they've just got one in as a demo so I'm off to see that tomorrow.

Hopefully picking my 204 kombi sportline up at end of month I had 2 sportlines so far and loved both. Hoping I’ll love this one as much
Gone for reflex silver and £5k extras

I thought sportlines were only uk and not a factory order ,and all the mods like lowering ,leather, wheels and spoilers are done in the uk .

Yep you can order them but your right they used to come into the country as a normal van and then go to sportline for few weeks to get converted but now I’m not sure I think sportline has moved in house with VW so it comes into the country as a converted van ready to go
My Vw dealer said it’s not in the country yet but they are giving me pick up dates around 22nd November fingers crossed as I ordered it in early February and sold my T5.1 in July as they told me it was September delivery

Sportlines are 'made up' in the UK. They come in as normal vans / kombi's & then get the bits added.

Just does not make sense buying a Sportline. Believe me I did the maths & went for a Highline with Sportline Kit added at PDI & later on.
Saved a fortune & got the Spec I wanted, i.e electric doors all round, twin sliders, 4 motion etc.

That’s interesting I’ve just had a repair done on my car at a VW Approved Repairer & it was shocking. I even picked up it was sub-standard, let’s hope they are better!
