T6 Rear Barn Door Hinges

hi. all rear barn doors have small black covers on and say press on them. ones missing an other keeps falling off. are thease important. and what are they for. thanks guys

Sounds like the catches to release the doors when you want them to go beyond 90 degrees opening

I remember someone else posting about having had an issue that after using one of the catches it wouldn’t re-engage but it was a while ago cant remember what the outcome was ??

It wasn't me that posted but i've had that issue. I had to unscrew the catch, engage it then re-attach it. haven't tried it since so I'd be interested to know what they say.

it s the black covers I need to engage the 90 degree. ones gone altogether. I have one left. but I cant get it back on. had a look on line to see if you can buy the black plastic press cover.but cant find any thing. I live a way off vw. so will after have a look in when going that way. there a flat pin that moves back an fourth. I think the press catch attaches to that
