T6 Planar heater onto OEM ducting

Just in case someone else is going through this, it can be done. I chose to output through the b pillar using OEM ducting but use the supplied intake duct from Planar. You have to install the bracket further back to get the ducts to marry and you will need a 90 to 60 reduction.

I used the VW cradle as well as the ducting, had to add some inch spacers between the cradle and the 2kw heater (the 5kw heater doesn't need the spacers) to align the inlet and outlets on the heater with the ducts, and used some silicone hose reducers to join up to the ducts.

Yeah, I think the cradle lines everything up nicely plus probably reduces the noise.

Hi @Grim Reaper could you provide a bit more detail about the spacers needed to get the smaller 2kW heaters to line up please?
Also do you have a list of part numbers for the cradle?

I used some M6 (I think) Connector Nuts from Toolstation as the spacers, just used some longer bolts and added the nuts between the cradle and the heater (a bit fiddly to get the nuts in just the right place when tightening them up)
I used a 90-60mm at one end https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223621209175 and a 90-63mm on the other https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351610333816 cutting them shorter to suit.
The cradle I bought complete off eBay so I don't have the details for all the parts.
