Hi , I want to drop it about 30 mm without losing comfort , not bothered about going lower or adjusting height , so thinking koni Shocks and springs , with 18 -19 inch wheels . Will this be a crashy ride as my last van on just hr 40 mm springs with 19 inch wheels was !? Also want the van to look level thanks

@BognorMotors is the nearest if you are based in Jersey I would think? Oli can provide all the advice you require.

Hi....mines not an ocean (T32 kombi ) but as @Insert Coin said give the trade members a shout....but mines on sportline 30mm springs and Koni shocks and 18’s it’s absolutely awesome....but regarding Being level both @CRS Performance and @BognorMotors can supply really helpful information :)

ok so how much would 30mm springs and these koni shocks cost , does the ocean suffer from uneven stance unless on adjustable suspension ?

I don’t have a ocean but I have a heavy camper and got 30mm springs fitted during the conversion. It was way to heavy for the springs on the standard shocks so now have a @CRS Performance special fitted. I did like the height (low but sensible for camping) so Steve offered a solution at that height using my springs but I wanted the option to go a bit lower so went for the coil overs.

Steve from @CRS Performance has been great, service (and aftersales service) is excellent. that’s my experience but from the feedback on here it sounds like you can’t go wrong with any of the trade members

I’ve a T6 Ocean with the VW 30mm lowering springs fitted, on 18” wheels. I don’t find it crashy at all, ride much improved - much less wallowy, as confirmed by my 9yr old who no longer turns green - looks much better a bit lower, and level as far as I can see. Worked well for me. About £400 fitted by a main stealer IIRC; tracking and alignment of the ACC (or may have been LEDs) done at same time.

We put the Eibach coilovers and 20's on a California Ocean this last week, totally transformed it, and lost its bum down driving attitude!

Pictures are on our Instagram and Facebook if you want to see

how would eibach coilovers compared to koni shocks and springs ? at leat u could adjust it to get a good stance then , no ?

I’ve got the @CRS Performance supplied and fitted H&R/Koni shocks coil over set-up on my Ocean and really please. Prior to this I had just 30mm sportline springs and found the ride harsh on 18”‘s.
If you only want around 30mm drop then no need to go all in with coilover just speak to Steve and go with the H@R springs and Koni shocks.

Technically no, not level. It sits correctly, which is slight nose down, (very subtle) something about rake I believe. I’m not an expert but did get one to sort my Cali.

California’s Actually sit lower at the back, slightly, due to the weight and certainly drive as such. A decent suspension upgrade will transform the drive, and make it scrabble less which is a trait of them.

what would you recommend , i don't want much drop just less roll and more comfort on 18 or 19's ? thx
