T6 Kombi SWB load space

Hi all,

Picking a T6 Kombi SWB next week, however I haven't seen the van in person and the first time will be when I go to pick it up.

Could someone kindly confirm the load length available on this van, I will be looking to carry 3 BMX's ideally with the wheels on.

VW brochure states 1.6m but I assume this is the maximum length, and not necessarily full useable space.

Dimension from say the mid point up the seat and back to the rear doors would be great if someone could confirm this?

Thank you :)

At 500mm from the floor its 1450mm. At the height of the major tube at the bottom of the seat its 1650.

My sons GT Vertigo (1300mm long) fits easily in the middle or the sides. You’d just need a couple of thin ratchet straps to secure them.C280ECA0-59D9-407D-8A68-81AA8DA21E99.jpeg

Brilliant and thank you for the response. I can stop the worrying now :)
I'll get a post in the newbie section when I pick it up.
Kids are into racing BMX's, so will be looking for a side awning at some point to give some additional shelter. Will also be useful for our camping trips.

My son used to at the lottery funded Huncote BMX track near us. Had a Cuda Fluxus. Now just got his GT for bezzing around the village!

Have a look at stitches+steel

I can fit 3 road bikes (XXL) frames in the back with wheels on, almost across the way (with a slight angle). Could probably have a 4th one in with wheel off

just dont do what our friends did at the manchester indoor some years ago, were in such a rush to get to friday practise left side door open !!!
Has new van a bulkhead fitted if not would be worth the investment...
