Question - sound and thermal insulation: Other than cosmetics, what's the advantage of carpet and ply in the rear of my T6 Kombi, over Silentcoat and thermal insulation behind the OE panel/cards? I'm thinking of pulling off the original panels and adding Kiravans sound proofing and some thermal insulation, then replacing the panels. Sound deadening on the wheel arches, covered by plastic arch covers and sound proofing the bonnet, roof and under the cab floor. What's the advantage of going for full carpet (like I had in the T5 panel van I converted last time)? Anyone insulated a Kombi, but left it looking as it was?

2 new T6 Transporters in to finish of the very busy year, both were very close in final spec when they left
Both had the following-
3 stage sound proofing
Black carpet lining to the metalwork, no joins around tailgate opening, Anthracite on the panels
Our panel set which features recesses on sliding door to miss arch, around handles and lights
Also our panels included complete hidden fixings, you cannot see it feel any clips and screws. We do not carpet over the clips like so many you see, which leaves bumps
Cabin matching ceiling trim to give a less claustrophobic feel
Vinyl seat belt panels. To match exterior trim or seat stitching
Various lights and sockets, wired to customers requirements
Rear flush speakers
And to finish off our very popular signature Audio
Hertz Mille pro front components
JL Audio 10w1 10” sub in our custom underseat enclosure
JL Audio amp to drive the Hertz and sub
Dynamat for front doors
Cnc wooden collars
When using the factory Headunit we add a discreet sub control on the dash
The aftermarket headunit in these pictures with the red vinyl is the superb Alpine X802du, this has a 8” capactive screen, which dosen’t show the fingerprints, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB etc, this is hooked up to the factory parking sensors, MFD and MFSW...

SWB T6 Panel van in this week,
Our popular package of 3 stage sound proofing and insulation was added.
2 tone grey carpet with seamless around tailgate opening and cabin matching ceiling trim was added to keeps it light inside and less claustrophobic, so many just carpet the ceiling.
Panel set with complete hidden fixings
4 led lights with a 3 way switch
New ply floor with rubber backed carpet, new side step/light and rear threshold
We also added a AGM leisure battery, with mains hook up under the drivers seat and 3 sockets
Finished of with fixed window on sliding door and slider behind drivers.

T6 left went out this week,
3 stage sound proofing

Dense panel set which features complete hidden fixings and recesses around handles, lights

2 light in tailgate
CBE usb sockets in B pillars and 12v socket in the rear
Our signature audio setup was installed , using Hertz Mille pro front components,
JL Audio 10” sub in our own design and manufactured underseat enclosure, then modified for the Sportscraft swivel plate we added
JL XD amp with XD sub control
Dynamat was added to the doors, and door plastics
A set of Pioneer speakers were flushed into the sides and coded to the factory headunit for fader function
Lastly we added Sportscraft swivel plates to both front seats,
We feel the best way for the drivers, is to manufacture the seat base and move the box section down, this retains the handbrake plastics, we also retain the rear trims, not screwing a bit of wood on the back

Hi Jason
Can you tell me where you got my alcantara head lining trim from as really want to do my front cab and A pillars,
Also wanted to add a led strip light in the back to come on with the lights as the ones already fitted are a bit covered by shelf’s can you tell me where to add the wires into can I wire an led strip into the lights you fitted
