Does anyone know the spec of the factory fitted leisure battery charger (max voltage) and if it is suitable for Gel batteries (i.e. no higher than 14.4v I think)? Are Gel any better than AGm for low power draw but longer (i.e. a fridge)?

OK, thanks. i'll stick to AGM then. The problem is that i can only find dual agm not deep cycle in the 80-110 range

Most people use an AGM deep cycle battery dor leisure purposes. Then add a dc-dc charger and possibly a bit of solar.

exactly what you mention - DCDC plus MPPT for solar. Changing factory fit under seat battery (passenger) and adding same to the drivers side. Trying to find true deep cycle agm and struggling as most are start/stop or dual.
