T6.1 Steering Assist part/no's

I read it. Thanks. Although it is still far beyond my knowledge at this moment.
The things I want to know and see most are?
1- What is your van?
2- What steering rack are you using now? Hydro or Electric?
3- And if it is the electric, which rack are you using now?
4- What else need to be engineered, apart from the mounts?

I want pictures of your subframe modifications so I can find some inspirations for my Transporter T6 in China.
I made no modifications to the subframe. The only modifications was to the exhaust bracket on the T5. I just cut it and welded it in a slightly different location. It is not very well done but so far it works. It is quite easy to modify once the t6.1 subframe is in place.

Got it then. By the way, some people told me the 2QD909144E (a steering rack set whose motor is on the coloum) may produce smaller torque so that it won't be able to offer a light steering when you start the car. Is he correct or wrong?
2QD909144E steering unit is also once used on VW Polo GTI 2.0TSI mk6

I wouldnt worry about the torque tbh. The Corsa D steering column EPAS unit is often used in retrofits for much larger vans and people have not complained of issues. If you can find a EPAS unit that uses the PQ25 can language you will likely have an easier job for control and use.

Got it then. Now the challenge is to fit this steering set into the van, I wonder if it will be long or wide enough to fit on the wheels and the cockpit. For sure I have to weld some mounts and nuts. BTW, Can I use an EPS rack from other brands such as Toyota or Buick and screw it up together with the VW power column?
