T6.1 sliding door retro fitting to T5 van.

Needing some info/help with changing the passenger side sliding door on a T5, I have a new T6.1 sliding door with power latching that is contained within the door, I have spoken to Pauly who thinks the latching system is different on the T6.1 door. Has anybody changed and put a newer door onto an older van? and if so, has anybody encountered any problems? Thanks

No not yet fitted, found out that the electrical connections have eight contacts on the male part that connects to the electrical connector in the B post, I thought a T6 door would go onto the van as that only has 6 electrical connections as opposed to the T6.1 door.
I will update as soon as it is fitted.
