T6.1 Sliding Door Actuator Issue

Hi all,

I have a T6.1 without child lock as the van originally was a Standard Line Van.
The sliding door has suddenly stopped opening from the inside and only opens from the outside.

The actuator is used for both internal and external opening. Is it possible that the part of the actuator that opens the door from the inside is defective and the the external one still ok?
I don't want to order a new actuator if other have had the same issue with a simple fix.

This thread suggests that sometimes just having a good jiggle of the internal mechanism can free things up:

Just came across this thread as the same thing has just happened on my 2023 T6.1 kombi. Did you resolve the issue and if so, would like to know how. Thanks

Kombi should have children safety available. Did you check that it wasn't mistakenly activated?

Where is the child lock switch on your van? - Probably on the drivers door switch panel.
The child lock on my 2022 van intermittently activates and sometimes comes up with a fault on the dashboard screen as well. Just need to push the child lock button a few times to sort it.
