T6.1 Shuttle Advice

Morning all
I’m looking for some advice-
I’m collecting a t6.1 shuttle next week, I’d like to modify it but live on the west coast of Scotland quite remote and probably not the wisest idea to go to low with both suspension
and tyres?! I drive a hilux with mud-terrains for work but not keen on swamper look for shuttle….

What would work to fill wheel arches but still be practical for comfort and mostly driving on single track roads? I’ve added a picture of shuttle I’m getting and also the stance I’m looking for….any advice is much appreciated!

I’m going for grey/black look with minimal chrome

Below are a list of mods I’m asking for advice on-

•Wheels that will fill arches but not too low profile tyre
•lower/comfort ride but will still get me on weekly ferry without catching
•led headlight upgrade
•front bumper/splitter/grill upgrade

Given the state of the roads, I’d not go any larger than 18” wheel, but beware that there’s limited choice of suitable load rated tyres for Shuttles, which require 103 load rating. I’ve just changed to 17” to give a bit more sidewall depth and ease of tyre options. Michelin Cross Contact are going to be fitted.
Don’t go too wide on tyres, especially if you go for larger rims. The additional weight of the wheels & tyres will put more stress on the transmission and increase fuel consumption
Drop the suspension by 30-40mm to reduce the gap below the arches.

See T32 Wheel Options.

Thanks for your reply much appreciated- do you know any vw specialists in Scotland who does this work?
