T6.1 Option - Window Van Package

Anyone in the know able to explain what the Window Van Package is other than the obvious windows part?

Seems a little odd it’s a minus £738 option.

I don’t understand the pricing, but “registration as a passenger car” seems to be the critical bit there. Was that possible with the T6, outside a few chosen registered converters?

If you're ordering a Kombi then it would come without the second row of seats and registration as a car. If you fancy creating a camper then this option is useful providing you want windows all around.
I've ordered a T30 kombi and added the rear quarter windows instead of this package as I want the rear seats.

It is what it says really, an empty van with windows all round. The registration as car has its pros and cons depending on your planned usage, mainly tax and insurance related I would say.

Can I ask where abouts this option is? I can’t see it on the brochures. Would be useful for our T6.1 on order for the speed limit & insurance purposes!
