T6.1 Key doesn’t always open tailgate?

I have a T6.1 electric tailgate. Every now and again the key will not open the tailgate. Is there a logic to this I am missing?

Won’t open if you are parked too close to something

The power tailgate is way too sensitive, they won’t open if there’s anything within a 100 yards of them.


Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, it’s to stop it opening and hitting anything, if there’s anything within the opening range of the tailgate it won’t open.
