T6.1 Big Brakes on a T6

The T6.1 340mm brakes are a different caliper to the T6 but use the same disc.

Will the T6.1 calipers fit the T6?

I've got the opportunity of a complete T6.1 340mm brake front setup for very little money and was hoping I can drop it on my T6

Yes they bolt straight on as long as you have the carriers and necessary bolts

Did they fit ok? I have a T28 T6 and have the opportunity of T32 T6.1 340mm brakes and need to know if they will work?

Yup they certainly did. Very noticeable difference too

All came of a 6.1 that had been written off, looks identical to the larger T6 brakes

You’ll need new carrier bolts as these are stretch bolts and need renewing each time removed.
For a T6 they are N98605403, 4 off (2 / side). I’m not sure of the part number for a 6.1.
You can check on Autodoc if you enter your reg number.

Little buggers! I’ve fitted the 340mm brakes today and the callipers sit slightly more outboard than the originals thus touching / fowling the inside spokes of the Amarok 20’s. 1mm washers do the trick so will require fitting 3mm shims to resolve.
