T6.1 accelerator pedal kickdown

Hi all I've been taking it easy with my new van but now it's a few months old I've floored it a couple of times. In doing so I've noticed there's a point in the pedal travel that you can feel like it hits something. It's as if there's some resistance half way down.

Anyone else noticed this or should I get it looked at.

Kick down Peddle on a Manual . . . . . that's different !!

more fuel efficiency and emissions related tom foolery no doubt, to try and keep you off WOT (Wide Open Throttle = 100% throttle) and the worse case scenario for emission's and efficiency ?
