I'm after some advice/thoughts. I have had since new a T6.1 199 Bi Turbo DSG which now has 70k miles with full main dealer service history which I only use as a weekend getaway so it's done no heavy lifting. About 6k ago I had a remap done and the engine 100% feels smoother but don't know if it's a coincidence but I within 2k miles I had a warning light and went into limp mode. I took the van in to one of the recommended independents on here in the north west and they advised changing the charge cooler and pipes with the vehicle being fine for about 500 miles when on a journey up to do the NC500 when the light came on, turn the engine off and on and it's cleared. For info when under load i.e. higher revs when it's moving up and down the gears I never have an issue or when driving around town. The time it appears is when I'm sat at a steady speed i.e. 75mph when in cruise control. So back to the garage again and they carried out some checks and diagnosed Boost Pressure Regulation - P0299 - Control Range Not Reached, System Voltage 1 PO56200 too low, Sensor reference Voltage 1 PO6A00 Implausible signal with the suggested remedy being charge pressure actuator G581 has internally failed and needs to be replaced - all in I'm talking £1975.54. Obviously only 500 miles before I thought is was sorted so I'm nervous that I spend £2k and still it comes back.... So as a second opinion I went to another suggested independent in the Midlands where I live and suggested in may be turbos at nearly £4k to replace... Any thoughts/suggestions or has anyone else had a similar problem ??
