T5 owner looking to upgrade

Hi everyone, I currently have a 2007 2.5 4 motion which over the past 2 years I have spent a small fortune on to get unto some sort of decent standard. It was my first transporter and I took a bit of a gamble buying it as it looked horrendous. Anyhoo, the transporter bug has well and truly bitten so I am potentially looking to upgrade to a T6
My ideal spec would be a 2.0 TSI DSG 4 motion but I understand they are incredibly rare so have resigned myself to a Diesel. We usually have several trip unto the Scottish highlands each year and during the winter so 4 Motion is essential and I would also like DSG but not critical.
If anyone has something for sale in the near future let me know, in the meantime I will be trying to sell my T5-Wish me luck. Pictures are how it currently looks but I plan to tidy the paintwork a bit more and keep my banded steels for the next van (will sell with Range Rover 20" alloys)
Thanks
Paul

We went from a T5.1 Cali manual to a T6 Cali DSG. No regrets, but the 5.1 was a great van.

I am a bit reluctant to sell after fixing all the issues on my T5 but although its mechanically sound the bodywork lets it down now. We are now considering getting rid of the missus's car (she drives mine) and just going back to one car and one van (I spend most of my time in the van) so that's why I'm considering something a bit newer. I have done the T5.1 facelift on mine so looking for a T6 (or even 6.1 if I can stretch to it) so I feel like I have a new van

Whats wrong with the body work? Could it be worth fixing as upgrading and then all the enevitable mods you will 'need' to get the van how you want will be big bucks

Its just very tired. Was a fully silver van when I got it with rusty edges. I painted the bottom half in marine paint (used on oil rigs) which cost me the grand total of £6 which has tidied it up for the last couple of years but it really needs a full professional respray to make it nice. Unfortunately I do not think I would get the cost of the respray back when I sold it. I am currently getting quotes for respray but after all it is a 15 year old 180k mile van. This was how I bought it 2 and a half years ago

TSI 4Motion never sold as an official UK vehicle. I’ve got a few 4Motions coming into stock. Mostly Kombi’s, mostly new but some used too. Let me know what you are after.

Deal done today, new van on drive . Just got to sell the old T5 now;)
Bought a 67 plate highline 204 DSG 4 motion. Had a pop top fitted as well as cabinets/split charge/cooker/microwave/ sink etc but no bed (was intended as a vespa race transporter but never used). Need to sort a rock and roll bed now ideally on runners
Let the fun begin
