Hello,
New member and new VW owner.
I have recently acquired a T5.1 65 plate LWB.
As part of the inevitable upgrades I ordered some LED tail lights from THQ. Lots of really useful videos on Youtube showing how simple these are to fit.
When I came to do this it appears the plugs on the new lights do not match the plugs on the van. The existing lights were also wired in with a makeshift loom of six wires going point to point. The issue seems to be that the plugs on the van are too shallow to clip closed on the plugs on the lights. This also means the electrical connections are not being made.
Both plugs are six in line connections and one fits into the other but just not far enough. Am I missing something really obvious?
As an interim fix I have also wired the point to point method but I want a more robust solution.
I found this listed on eBay but I'm unclear as to whether this would be fix or not.
Has anyone else had this issue and can offer a solution?
