T5.1 Retrofit power-fold mirrors

What is required to install power fold mirrors to a vehicle? I’ve got a donor vehicle that currently has power folds and mine doesn’t. Is it a relatively straight forward swap or not?

If you're going OEM then you need to replace the window motors too as these have the required modules in for operating the mirrors.

I just typed Power Folding mirrors in the search function and got this buddy.

Great work there. I still haven't got round to doing mine. Although I bought mine in Nov 2017 it is a 2018 model and I have been told by VW my door modules won't manage the folding mirrors.

Wasn’t sure whether it would be different t5.1 to t6. Yes it’s all OEM
