Hi everyone, looking good for some help. I'm about 6 weeks into owning my T5 and wondering what i can do with the front as I'm not that keen on what the previous owner did.

Looking to get rid of the chrome grill trims (glued on but think it's just a fishing line job to get them off) but does anyone know how easy it is to change the chrome VW badge for a black/grey one and how easy they are to get gold of?

Also looking good at getting a black insert for this bit on the bottom if possible. Anyone know if its do-able and how difficult it is?

Looking around, my front bumper looks to be a little unusual so not sure how easy it is to get the bits.

Any help appreciated!!!

Pete

Do those fog light facias just pull out? If so the black finned ones look pretty good as a replacement and will break up all that silver. 👍

Those lower fog light pieces just pull off but don't swing on them else you'll break them . Paint them black job done .
The grille comes out by undoing the push clips under the bonnet edge and one plastic screw for the battery divider ....them carefully pull the lower edge of the grille forward .
The badge then rotates out of its clips.
You can buy gloss, matt black or carbon look replacements .
Failing that change the grille and go badgeless.

Stock T5.1 Sportline front end and ditch the chrome and 4D plates.
Defoo. And ditch he splitter. That belongs on an early 90s Max Power readers Cinqucento Sporting not a Transporter. Less is more with these luvvery vans.

I think he's on the right lines with a de chrome and the black panels. Lose the stripes, black out the B pillar area between the doors, that'll look even nicer than it does now.

Funny you should say that, the van came with some black pillar stickers the last owner bought but never used. Gonna give them a try

I am the Karl Lagerfield of Transporter styling, except I'm straight.
