I'm just looking at a used T32 with the intention of buying. It's just had new tyres all round, but couldn't help but notice this little line on the tyre that reads "MAX. LOAD 775kg".

Does that render them useless, i.e. that they're going to send me straight into an MOT failure?

It's a 5 seater Kombi, if that makes a difference?

And max pressure says 44PSI - I run my T32 LWB campervan at 50 to 55PSI.

Stinker then. The van is 8 years old, one owner, so I'm struggling to accept that this is a genuine error now. Starting to smells like he's whacked 4 cheap and useless tyres on to sell it to an unsuspecting punter.

Yeah, 99 load rating and a T32 needs 103 as a minimum.
If the van is right knock him down for the price of some correctly rated tyres.

Yes, any commercial van with a maximum gross weight over 3,000KG is a class 7 MOT. regardless of being a Kombi, it will fail the next MOT with those tyres on, if the tester is thorough.
