My van was originally a wheelchair access vehicle and I suspect it may have been fitted with extra ride height springs to give adequate ground clearance under the fuel tank which was lowered 150mm. It's currently on 19" Range Rover wheels and I nearly needs step ladders to get in! I don't want to slam it to the floor but would like to reduce the wheel arch gap. Would standard sportline suspension make a considerable difference?

The standard van ride height measured from the wheel center to the wheel arch is 460mm. Compare that to what you have now as a reference.

Caravelle Exec are 20mm lower than standard and I believe the Sportline is a smidge lower than that.

Can you take a photo from underneath the rear so we can see what sort of springs and shocks are on there?

Will do in the morning but it's all pretty standard - will try and get spring Color code

Rear spring pics attached. Only colour code I can see is one red/brown spot
