I have a MY16 T32 4Motion 204 SWB DSG Kombi on 18" Sportline alloys with 255/45/18 tyres atm, what would be my lowering options for a modest drop? I wish to retain 4wd capability, but Im not planning on anything other than the odd off road camping site. I also dont wish to mess with the speedo etc or gearing, so plan on retaining the 18's. Thanks in advance. :)

dont know if anything has changed since before. . .

but we had a MY11 DGS 4Motion T32.

we wanted to have it dropped with Sportline spring set, but was told its wan not possible my the Dealer due to Axle geometry etc. . . .

Hopfully things have changed since then . . . .

but if anyone knows what deal is @BognorMotors

Thanks Del, tbh Im not fussed either way. Wifey just asked of all people, so I thought I'd check. 4wd was her option, so if it cant because of that then its not my fault and thats all that really matters. :)

Thanks BM, you'll be called right after, leisure battery, pop top, rock n roll and all the bits inbetween. I just wanted to know if you could. at the minute. I'm doing a staggered build as wife toasted our budget demanding a T6 4M, when I was happy with a low mileage T5. Thanks to her we're 10k overbudget. My build budget got used to sate her demands. Still, I did end up with a 204, which made me less inclined to argue about it too strongly. So, its sleeping bags atm.

You’ll not regret the 4Motion. IMHO they drive better and certainly hold their money better

Sensible drop of approx 40 mm with adjustable sport shocks gives better results than any thing else . remember the lower you go the more unpractical the vehicle gets for camp sites etc Springs alone always a compromise and ride and comfort suffer !!

Putting 40mm drop on my 199 T6.1 4M Kombi soon ... probably using Eibach Comfort adjustable springs .
Are these springs specifically for a T 6.1 because there is a difference on the front lower spring seat , It looks like VW have attempted to kill some road noise by fitting a rubber lower mount on the front spring ?

Im sorry Steve but this is just not true, and I have to disagree with you. There are a wide variety of suspension options available for a 40mm drop, as well as further drops and adjustable height, and obviously comfort levels . Yours is not the best, as you keep telling everyone - this is just your opinion as a Koni dealer - I’ve heard varying reviews - it doesn’t suit everyone.
KW, STS, Bilstein, Twin Projekt and Eibach all offer excellent systems as well as your Koni offering. It all depends what’s the individual is after for their van.
This is why we run numerous demo vehicles so cusyomers can try before they buy and make their own mind up.

Firstly I didn't mention any makes in my statement, ? I was referring to the type of system . As most of my statements are all based on technical specifications ability of product and results / I think you will find that customers who are well educated, make better decisions . But let me repeat my statement so you understand what I was trying to say , 40 mm drop with sport shocks give the best comfort and handling results . All of the alternatives you offered have one thing in common , they don't make Sport kits ?? ( Bilstein might offer a B6 / B8 sport shock with Eibach springs as a kit from their UK importer but not many people sell it ) .
It is a suspension Industry norm that Sport kits are more comfortable than coil over kits even when coil over kits are set to the highest point . But my Comment was aimed at a thread which was referring to 40 mm drops .

Yes they will be T6.1 model specific as recommended by my local suspension and conversion specialist Chilli Jam Vans , In fact when I contacted them they pointed out that these lowering springs had been modified specifically for the new T6.1 .
