Swiss Alps

We are heading to the Swiss Alps in June, do you have any campsite recommendations? Looking for something similar in vibe to Les Gets, nice bars, restaurants and good for hiking.

We stayed here:

A nice (sort of) back to basic site close to the mountain railway for easy access to several places

Also stayed here:

In grindelwald within walking distance of all the lifts up the mountains. Again a “basic” site which is sort of along a road (but not) but was actually a really site spot. Great location for the town but I would recommend skipping that and head for the hills as it’s insanely busy (like Disneyland or worse!)

I skied in Grindelwald a long time ago. These is also that mountain railway, unless my memory fails me.

I can’t recommend any campsites, but I can recommend that you don’t go 🤣🤣. Well, if you do please, please, please makes sure you do NOT in ANYWAY exceed the speed limit.
I speak from bitter experience. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. About 4 years ago, when on my annual road trip through France, Germany and Italy, me and my mate ventured into Switzerland.
Long story short, the feds placed a small go-pro style camera and radar on a small mountain road that was 40 kph limit. (Honestly well covert ). I was 3 kph over, my mate was 8 kph over. Me….. £380 fine on the spot. My mate £780. FFS 😆😆.
There is NO discretion, no ‘having a word’. You get fined then have to deal with a registered court letter upon return.
So please be wary.
Just my advice. 👍👍

Stick Switzerland in to Search and there are plenty of discussions regarding Swiss campsites.
My advice would be to learn Mandarin for ‘get to the back of the f’in queue’
