Hey there. . The KW kit is excellent value for money. And the STX kit is ample. For the job. The STXA kit adds. Rebound adjustability but unless you know what that is for. It’s a waste of money in reality. 99 % of customers. Will never need to use that feature in all honesty . Give us a call and we can guide you to the best solution. After fitting out 3 to 4 of these vans every day we have become quite an authority on the suspension subject. And it’s all we do at CRS
Do you have any before and after photos to show the stance / drop

I guys, I'm another satisfied customer of Steve's @CRS Performance last week they fitted the KW kit to our camper and I couldn't be happier with the results the stance and handling are greatly improved but the biggest thing I have noticed is that the road noise is reduced. I would be more than happy to recommend CRS. Photo's are a before and after and one from the other side. Apologies for the van being filthy....

Right, lovely husband has greed to the suspension being tweaked. I've been emailing Steve @CRS and he's come up with a couple of suggestions.

1. Lift the back to match the front and change the shocks to improve the ride and comfort. It will be standard height them but level.

Or

2. Drop the front to match the rear and fit shocks as well to sort the ride and comfort out, this will be approx. 40 mm lower and look much better?

I'm going to go see CRS and then make a decision but if anyone wants to comment on what they would do to a California Coast, thoughts most welcome! It is very boaty indeed. I'm used to driving vans (just sold a T6 kombi T32) but this is beyond weird!

It’s because the Californias are top heavy with the glass and bed etc. Steve did my Beach and it’s as good as gold now! Before it was like a wallowing armchair. You might want to upgrade your ARBs at least

Edit: “top heavy” not “too heavy”….bloomin autocorrect!

Obviously you’ll listen to Steve’s expert/specialist opinion, but I’d say go with option 2…. drop it 40mm and with the Koni shocks you’ll improve everything…. comfort, handling, noise and just the way it feels!

Completely agree! I kept it at standard heights as I regularly tow a hoofing, great, big caravan!

Yep, I'm minded to do the latter. I can't be doing with the seasick feeling. Test drove a Beach a few years ago, was in the back & nearly hurled. Never occurred to me that this would be the same as the Kombi was great. T32 tho.

Def consider ARB’s as well as @JOG suggests. Made a huge difference when Steve did mine and remove the wallowing that was going on before (much of which was down to the pop top weight)

He also did option 2 for me as you outline above. Drives completely differently now.

Took a trip to see Steve @CRS Performance two weeks ago with my Coast.
Went for 50mm drop, Koni sport short and ARBs.
Transformed!
I’ve done 1000 miles since... no diving under braking, reduced body roll, better traction... and comfortable. An altogether ‘tighter’ package... and the improved looks are a bonus!
Very happy with the result

Any chance of you taking some pictures of the stance mate? I have just been speaking with Steve regarding my Coast and looking to get it in next week. I would love to see what worked for you.

That's really helpful, thank you.

Nice wheels, what size? I don't like the very blingy wheels but those look great, especially with the two-tone paint. There was a bay green/white van behind mine when I picked it up from Liverpool & it's a gorgeous combo.

They are Amarok Cantera wheels. A bit difficult to find and likely to get even harder now as I was told new Amaroks dont have them any more.

Have just got my t6.1 back from having full camper conversion and it’s currently running on standard dampers with 50 mm vogt springs but now sits lower at the back with the obvious weight added
Am thinking of options to keep it fairly low but want decent ride quality as will be doing some miles in it look forward to some advice
Thanks
Tommy
