Suspension Insurance Premium

LV for me too. I'm not sure exactly how much extra it was but, if I recall correctly, it was a satisfyingly vague box ticking exercise.
Suspension mods - tick.
Interior mods - tick.
Aftermarket wheels - tick.
No awkward questions about lowering heights or anything like that.

same here however my renewal is up at the end of October so see what happens then. Was £304 this year with business use so very competitive i thought

Just renewed with LV and there was quite the bump from last year - however I did find using the 20-26 day rule really did bring it down a chunk and ended up staying with LV.

I advise being seated when opening your renewal letter if it was anything like mine.

Hi just going through the yearly hassle of insurance, direct line won’t cover me now as I have lowered the van, just looked at LV and they want over £900 that’s with 8yrs NCD! I haven’t paid that much since I was 21! I’m now 42! Any ideas who to go with

Insurance always hinges on personal circumstances but there is a good thread of popular insurers to try here:

I notified NFU of mine. there was no increase in premium as it wasn't deemed a 'performance modification' as was necessary for 'safety' due to the increased weight of the van.

They were quite happy with this explanation for mine & just noted it on the policy.

Thanks had a look through and done a quote with A plan now called Howden as of today. They came out 900+ a year this is adding my wife as a named driver both of us have decent NCB!
I can’t see how my insurance can literary double in a year! What a mess this country is in we’re all being robbed of our money.

we’re all being robbed of our money.
Sure are. We’ve seen cuts for over ten years, price and tax hikes on everything, asset sales and yet the national debt is the highest it’s been for 60 years! Insanity.

As for LV they went up for me this year but still a pretty good deal. I did later find out Lexham were over £100 cheaper so I will move to them.

Anyone used lexham insurance?
I’ve had a decent quote with these today.
Although my van isn’t a camper van they said they will still insure it as a day van

Use them for the motorbike now and while I’ve not had to make a claim (and hopefully never will) dealing with them for the quote was all good, the paperwork was emailed through swiftly and all correct.
