In Switzerland many campsites don't have the normal trailer sockets but what appears to be Swiss domestic sockets, ie, flattened hexagonal with three round pins.

The good thing is that Swiss campsite are aware of the "issue" and will often lend out an adaptor.

Top tip ... when wild camping, try and choose a spot near a pylon .... free electrical hook-up if you aren't afraid of heights

I recently camped on the border of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and the campsite had plenty of hook ups, stressing on Hook Up!
